Pakistan pace spearhead Mohammad Amir is in danger of losing his quota of overs in the high-octane World Cup 2019 clash against India in Manchester on Sunday. The left-armer ran on the pitch in his second over, third of the match, and umpire Bruce Oxenford gave him an official working after a look at the surface.
But Amir — in his third over — yet again landed on the danger zone which called for a second warning. A third-time offence will snatch his remaining overs.
He completed his fourth over cautiously after inspecting the spot along with senior player Mohammad Hafeez.
The 27-year-old Amir — who has been successful against India in the past — started his spell with a maiden over. He conceded only eight runs in his first four overs.
