17:00: BP XI crawl to 199/8 after 40 overs. They need a mammoth 149 from last 10 overs.

16:50: Ashton Agar giving a strong account of himself with figures of 6-1-32-3. May feature in the playing XI on Sunday.

16:30: Australia bringing the curtain down on BP XI's challenge, as the latter loses another wicket. BP XI left struggling at 148/7.

16:25: James Faulkner pulls off a stunning catch to get rid of Gurkeerat Mann. BP XI  seems to have lost the plot after being reduced to 148/6 after 32.1 overs.

16:15: BP XI losing the plot here, Shivam Chaudhary departs as the team slips to 143/5.

16:00: BP XI loses another one courtesy a run-out. Nitish Rana departs for 19, leaving BP reeling at 130/4.

15:35: BP XI is in all sorts of trouble as it loses two wickets in quick succession. Marcus Stoinis bowls Goswami through the gate. BP XI precariously placed at 102/3 after 20 overs.

15:25: Australia fights back as Zampa gets rid of the dangerous looking Mayank Agarwal for 42. BP XI's chase halted at 89/2 after 18.2 overs.

15:15: BP XI keeping itself in the hunt, 84/1 after 17 overs.

15:00: BP XI 54/1 after 12 overs.

14:45: At the end of eight overs, BP XI 34/1. Shreevats Goswami and Mayank Agarwal in pursuit of the gargantuan target.

13:20: Australia ends its innings at an imposing 347/7 after some lusty hitting by Marcus Stoinis and Mathew Wade in the last five overs.

12:55: Australia 279/5 after 45 overs; Stoinis in ominous form.

12:35: Travis Head departs after a counterattacking 65. Australia 247/5 after 40.2 overs.

12:15: Australia 207/4 with 15 overs left to play.

11:57: At the end of 30 overs, Australia is 164/4. Stoinis and Head holding fort in the middle.

11:51: Glenn Maxwell (14) departs, as Washington Sundar bags his second wicket of the match. Australia 158/4 after 28.2 overs.

11:40: Captain Smith gets his quota of match practice, completes his half-century (55) and departs. Australia 138/3 after 25 overs.

11:25: Australia 119/2 after 20 overs. Captain Smith five shy of a half-century.

11:10: Warner departs after scoring 64 off 48 balls! A sigh of relief for BP XI , as Shreevats Goswami grabs an easy chance behind the stumps.

11:07: Australia was 2/1 after two overs, it is 101/1 now after 15. Warner 60 (40) and Smith 37 (43) motoring along nicely.

10:52: Dark clouds loom over Chepauk but at the moment, it is raining boundaries from Warner's willow. Aus 81/1 after 12 overs. 

10:44: Australia 56/1 after first powerplay, as Smith and Warner raise their half-century stand without taking any unnecessary risks.

10:22: Australia 24/1 after five overs.

10:07: Avesh Khan strikes in his first over, Cartwright departs for a duck. Australia 0/1 after 1.2 overs. Captain Smith is in next.

9:40 IST: Steve Smith wins the toss, Australia to bat first against Board President's XI. Gurkeerat Singh is leading the BP XI today.
