India pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar, making a comeback from a lower back injury, starred with the ball as India A beat South Africa A by 124 runs in the inconsequential third-place playoff in Alur on Wednesday.

Chasing 276 to win, South Africa was restricted to a paltry 151 thanks to Kumar's three for 33 during which he got rid of in-form batsmen Khaya Zondo and Theunis de Bruyn while also accounting for S. Magala at the death.

Team India was forced to miss out on the services of Kumar who, having aggravated his back injury, had to fly back to India after the ODI series against England.
