C.K.M. Dhananjai replaces Tulli as Indian team analyst

With India playing a tough away series in South Africa, England and Australia over the next two seasons, the cricketers wanted an analyst in whom they had confidence.

C.K.M. Dhananjai of SportsMechanics, on Thursday, left with the Indian team as its analyst for the tour of South Africa. He comes in for Ashish Tulli.

The change was made at the insistence of the Indian team. Dhananjai, a Chennai resident, had a long and successful tenure with the National side from 2007 to 2014. It was a period when the side conquered several peaks.

A source told

Sportstar , “Many Indian cricketers had worked with Dhananjai and had liked his method, approach and what he brought to the table. The players wanted Dhananjai back.”

SportsMechanics, headed by S. Ramakrishnan, will provide back-end support. Actually, there was a possibility of Ramakrishnan, the Indian team’s first analyst, himself travelling to South Africa but Dhananjai got the role since he was more familiar with the present bunch of Indian cricketers.
