Rohit Sharma will be available to play for Mumbai before the second Test begins.

The Indian team management agreed to release three players—Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Stuart Binny—from the Test squad currently playing the first Test against South Africa here.

“Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Stuart Binny have been released from the Indian team. They will join their respective state teams for the next round of Ranji Trophy matches. The players will rejoin the Indian team before the start of the Second Test of the Paytm Freedom Trophy in Bangalore starting November 14,” said a Board release.

Punjab, which will have a break in this round of Ranji Trophy, will provide Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Mandeep Singh reserve players at Mohali,” the release added.
