Brabourne nostalgia for Tendulkar and Sthalekar
Sachin Tendulkar rang the bell to signal the return of international cricket to the Brabourne Stadium and Lisa Sthalekar took a stroll down memory lane.

The mood at the Cricket Club of India was festive on Monday afternoon, as the iconic venue geared up for an ODI fixture after 12 long years. And it was only right that Mumbai's most-recognizable face rings the bell to get the game underway.
Draped in a blue blazer, Sachin Tendulkar rang the customary bell as club officials watched, excited for international cricket's return to the Brabourne Stadium.

Through look and mannerisms, Shikhar Dhawan has earned the alias ‘Gabbar’, given to him by his team-mates. On Monday, 'Gabbar' was in for a surprise. After getting caught, Dhawan's famous thigh-five celebration - a trademark 'Gabbar' - was mocked by Windies bowler Keemo Paul, playing his first game of the five-match series. Paul whipped out a thigh-five after dismissing the left-hander, who walked past him amused.

Former Australia women’s team skipper Lisa Sthalekar walked down memory lane as she walked into the Brabourne Stadium. It was here that Australia had clinched the 2013 World Cup trophy in what was Sthalekar’s last international outing.
