CoA approves one-off payment for retired women cricketers

There is good news for India’s retired women cricketers. The BCCI Committee of Administrators (CoA) has approved a one-off payment to them on a three-slab scale.

The retired women cricketers (those who have played 5 and more) have been receiving monthly gratis from 2008.

There is good news for India’s retired women cricketers. The BCCI Committee of Administrators (CoA) has approved a one-off payment to them on a three-slab scale. Those in the 1-9 Tests (41 cricketers) will receive Rs. 15 lakh, in the 10-24 bracket (18) will receive Rs. 25 lakh and those who have played 25 or more (6) would receive Rs. 30 lakh.

The CoA has also approved a monthly gratis of Rs. 15,000 for those who have played one 1-4 Test matches (31 cricketers) or an aggregate of ODIs equivalent to 1-4 Test matches. Three ODIs is taken as one Test match. Retired women cricketers (those who have played 5 and more) have been receiving monthly gratis from 2008.
