Brendan Taylor returns to Zimbabwe

Former Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor will play for his country after almost three years.

Brendan Taylor scored a 110-ball 138 against India in his last ODI for Zimbabwe.

Former Zimbabwe skipper Brendan Taylor is set to play for his country again after he ended his contract with Nottinghamshire in County Championships.

Zimbabwe Cricket, on Thursday, announced on its Twitter handle that it has contracted Taylor.

 

The 31-year-old has been allowed to leave Trent Bridge to return home to Zimbabwe "for family reasons", according to bbc.com.

Taylor played a key role in Nottinghamshire's T20 Blast and One-Day Cup trophy wins this season.

"Winning two trophies, including one at Lord's, has been a real highlight in my career," Taylor said. 

Taylor has played 23 Tests, 167 one-day internationals and 37 T20 internationals for Zimbabwe. He scored hundreds in his last two ODIs; the latest came against India in the 2015 World Cup.
