India vs West Indies: Scorers car suffers accident before Day2's play

One of the noted BCCI-affiliated scorers, Tushar Trivedi, was severely injured and it has been learnt that he needs to undergo a surgery on the left shoulder immediately.

A while before the second day’s play of the first Test between India and West Indies got underway on Friday, the car which was carrying the scorers to the stadium toppled, leaving three of them seriously injured.

One of the noted BCCI-affiliated scorers, Tushar Trivedi, was severely injured and it has been learnt that he needs to undergo a surgery on the left shoulder immediately. Two of his colleagues, however, are recovering.

While the real reason behind the accident is still not clear, it is believed that the car toppled closer to the Jamnagar Highway. “The other two scorers are recovering, but Trivedi is severely injured, and he needs to be operated on. The doctors are monitoring the situation closely,” one of the Saurashtra Cricket Association officials said.
