The hearing would be held through a video conference, following which Heron would have 48 hours to come up with a decision.

Kagiso Rabada (above) was handed a two-match ban, after being found guilty of an inappropriate and deliberate shoulder contact with Australian skipper Steve Smith, on the opening day of the second Test in Port Elizabeth.

South African pacer, Kagiso Rabada’s, Level 2 ban appeal is all set to be heard by Michael Heron, QC of New Zealand, the Judicial Commissioner, on March 19. The hearing would be held through a video conference, following which Heron would have 48 hours to come up with a decision, reported ICC in a press release.

Rabada was handed a two-match ban, after being found guilty of an inappropriate and deliberate shoulder contact with Australian skipper Steve Smith, on the opening day of the second Test in Port Elizabeth. He was charged by Match Referee Jeff Crowe, who handed him three demerit points. He was also fined 50 per cent of his match fee.

Rabada was again involved in a breach of conduct during the second innings of the game, when he gave David Warner a send-off. The total demerit points reached to nine, leading to his suspension.
