Kane Williamson:  "We would have liked to bowl as well. It does look like a good surface and whatever we are gonna do, we should do well. We are going with 3 spinners and 3 seamers. Obviously number of injuries with Bhuvi and Stanlake missing out with injuries. Shikhar is back in the side. Nabi and Thampi are in too. Exciting times for us as some of the guys have got the opportunity for the first time this season. Looking forward to an exciting contest."

Mumbai Indians  (Playing XI): Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan(w), Rohit Sharma(c), Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah, Mustafizur Rahman

Rohit:  "We are gonna bowl first. It is a good pitch and it is hard to defend on this ground. Not gonna change a lot. We played good cricket and it is just the finishing touch we are lacking. We need to understand as a team where we went wrong. It is a fresh game and we want to treat every game as a new game and start afresh. We are unchanged."

TOSS UPDATE: Mumbai Indians has won the toss and opted to bowl first.

 

If Williamson has clicked at the top, his MI counterpart Rohit Sharma has struggled save his match-winning 94 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mumbai. Against a multi-dimensional bowling attack like Hyderabad's - Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Billy Stanlake, Rashid Khan and Shakib-Al-Hasan - Sharma will be eyeing a repeat of his Wankhede heroics.

With only one win in five games, MI will need skipper  Rohit Sharma,  Suryakumar Yadav — who has been in great touch this season — and Evin Lewis to fire upfront. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan will also be under the spotlight for his hard-hitting abilities.

Skipper Williamson’s graceful yet orthodox shots almost turned the tide for SRH and he will look to continue the momentum against MI.

Kane Williamson  stirred up a storm trying to take his side over the line, stroking 84 off 51 balls against Chennai Super Kings, on Sunday.

Defeats can deflate teams but  Sunrisers Hyderabad  can count its blessings as it gears up for the encounter against  Mumbai Indians  at the Wankhede Stadium here on Tuesday.
