Joining the Indian Premier League franchise after a two-year hiatus, Chennai Super Kings is leaving no stone unturned to maximise its connect with its fans.

Many members of CSK have been actively involved in promoting the team, its players and the league over the last few days in the city. After taking part in promotional activities and launching a mobile-based app, CSK, on Wednesday, travelled to the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium for a practice session in an open top bus, sending fans into a frenzy.

No sooner the bus hit the roads, fans made a beeline and tailgated the bus to the stadium.  Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, in his first season for Chennai Super Kings, shared a selfie with the team from the colourful bus.

He captioned: “Going for our first practice session in open bus.. how cool #whistlepodu."

The senior spinner later shared a video of players having fun during the ride.

The stadium was also packed to the rafters with thousands of fans turning up for the practice sessions.  Earlier in the day, many CSK players mimicked the 'Rajinikanth style' in wearing shades and shared pictures on social media.

Harbhajan, Murali Vijay and Dwayne Bravo along with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni took to Twitter and showcased their styles.

"Neruuupuuddaaa CSKdaaaaaaaa #whistpodu @ChennaiIPL @DJBravo47 @mvj888,"  tweeted the Punjab-born cricketer.
