CSK matches not shifted to Kerala

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have ruled out any possibility of shifting CSK's home matches to Kerala, contrary to reports by a few media outlets.
The continuing Cauvery water sharing dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka had led to speculations that some of CSK’s fixtures — including the one against Royal Challengers Bangalore — could be shifted to either Thiruvananthapuram or Kochi.
Kerala Cricket Association secretary Jayesh George, on Sunday, added fuel to the fire, claiming that he had spoken to CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan and top BCCI officials in Mumbai on Saturday about the issue.
However, CSK CEO, Viswanathan, while speaking to Sportstar , clarified that there were no discussions regarding the change of venues. “I met him (George) in Mumbai yesterday (Saturday), and chatted for a while. But there was no discussion on shifting our matches to Kerala,” Viswanathan said, indicating that there could have been some misinterpretation.
BCCI’s acting secretary, Amitabh Chaudhary, rubbished such claims. “There’s no such information to my knowledge,” Chaudhary told this publication.
Earlier, the KCA secretary said that the state association was ready with grounds in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram as alternatives. But now, with the franchise bosses and the BCCI officials clearing the air, Chennai's M. A. Chidambaram Stadium will remain CSK’s fortress, at least for now.
