The entire police force was on the tenterhooks to prevent any untoward incident.

The Cauvery protest in Chennai on Tuesday made its presence felt at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium when the toss for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match was delayed by 12 minutes with the umpires stuck in an endless traffic snarl.

CSK was the first to arrive at the stadium around 6 pm followed by KKR, which reached at 6:45 pm. The umpires, however, made their way into the ground at 7:40 pm.
