DC 156/3 in 16.3 overs: Done and dusted. A high quality chase from the Capitals! An absolute steam-roller from Prithvi Shaw has led Delhi to a clinical win against a hapless Kolkata.
DC 150/3 in 16 overs: Cummins to Shaw. OUT! Straight up in the air and Rana completes a diving catch in the end. A fiery knock has come to an end! Pant smacks Cummins for a four before attempting the glory shot down the ground. There's not enough power on it and Shivam Mavi completes the catch at long-on with Delhi requiring just five to win. DC 145/1 in 15 overs: Pant's in a rush! Prasidh is pummelled for a cracking hook for six and is followed by another boundary. Shaw will not get to his ton now but what a knock has this been thus far.
DC 132/1 in 14 overs: Cummins to Dhawan. OUT! Dhawan is found plumb in front. Some consolation for KKR as Cummins drills in the fuller one to Dhawan's toes. Dhawan walks across to swivel it through but found himself right in front. Dhawan was eyeing to make a move and the fall comes right after cracking Cummins for a cracking six over mid-wicket. DC 123/0 in 13 overs: Narine loops it on full and Shaw has no hesitations in going for the slog sweep. The ball comfortably sails over the fence and he is well set for his ton here. Remember, is highest so far in the league is 99!
DC 113/0 in 12 overs: Dhawan deftly places one behind square for another boundary. Varun darts the rest in and the batsmen rely on the singles.
DC 104/0 in 11 overs: The carnage continues as Delhi cruises past 100 in just 11! Narine concedes a short loosener and Shaw pummels it to the mid-wicket fence in disdain. Delhi is bulldozing its way through this now and Morgan's face is almost expressionless at the moment.
DC 95/0 in 10 overs: Fortune favouring the brave-hearted Shaw. Shaw launches Varun down the ground and the ball splashes straight through Shubman Gill for a six!
DC 84/0 in 9 overs: Narine keeps it tight around the stumps for the first three before Dhawan churned out a single. Narine continues to push in the ball quickly and forces Shaw and Dhawan to nudge around. Just three coming off that one.
DC 81/0 in 8 overs: A blazing fifty from Shaw! The fastest of this season so far, coming off just 18 balls. Cummins provided the single to Shaw to reach his fifty before Dhawan glided him down deep third, using his pace. Shaw the gets in strike and nonchalantly lifts Cummins down the ground for another boundary. The Aussie quick responds with another bumper and Shaw opts to duck below once again.
DC 71/0 in 7 overs: Varun keeps the ball short to Dhawan who defends a couple of balls before receiving width to hit through the arc. Dhawan and Shaw resort to some quick runs and a rare,quiet over passes by.
DC 67/0 in 6 overs: And that's more like a Powerplay over, coming from KKR's most seasoned bowler after the side has already taken a toll. Cummins keeps Dhawan wound to the crease with a single coming off the fifth ball. Cummins v Shaw - the Aussie pumps in a bouncer and Shaw quickly ducks behind it to finish the Powerplay.

DC 66/0 in 5 overs: Dhawan and Shaw are in a hurry! Dhawan begins the Prasidh over once again with a boundary. Shaw ensures the finish is in balance as a delectable cut cruises past short-third to the boundary.
DC 57/0 in 4 overs: Shaw blitz hits Narine! Narine keeps it full and wide but Shaw absolutely latches onto it. He creams it over the cover boundary and it goes, well, all the way! Shaw is on a roll as Narine misses the length again. He finds the gap once again in the off-side and there goes another boundary - his eighth of the night!
DC 43/0 in 3 overs: Delhi continues the surge and this time Dhawan gets into the act. Prasidh is hit for a fine drive through covers first ball. He, however, keeps it quiet for the rest of the over by hitting the hard length.
DC 35/0 in 2 overs: Varun starts off by attacking the stumps and a loose ball outside off his immediately pounced on by Shaw. Shaw creams it past point as he gets his seventh boundary in just the second over!

DC 25/0 in 1 over: Wd, 4,4,4,4,4,4! That's the Prithvi Shaw effect! Shivam Mavi is absolutely derailed within the space of a couple of minutes. Shaw absolutely reigns over the 'V' as three boundaries adorn the off, one down the ground and a couple of looseners are swatted to the mid-wicket boundary. A dream start for Shaw and Delhi.

KKR has managed to get to a decent total but one that falls just below par. The openers - Rana and Gill - failed to get to a quick-fire start once again and the pressure soon fell on the middle-order. In a bid to up the run-rate, Tripathi, Morgan, Narine and even Gill fell in quick succession, forcing the pressure once again on Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik.
Russell's birthday cameo came up to be the saviour for his side once again and KKR would be hoping for rejig in its order to facilitate more balls for him to wield his blade.
KKR 154/6 in 20 overs: Russell finishes with a six! Avesh's hopes of a near perfect finish is squandered as he darts a full-toss to Russell who connects and sends it over the fence, straight down the ground. Cummins also picked up a valuable boundary with a crunching drive and KKR could say it has something to play with.
KKR 141/6 in 19 overs: Russell clobbers Rabada! Rabada picks the slower ball and absolutely wallops it over long-on for a massive six. He follows it up with a massive six over long-on off the fuller ball and Rabada seems to be out of sorts once again at the death.
KKR 123/6 in 18 overs: A mixed bag for Avesh as he cracks the yorkers up-front to keep Cummins under the pump. An attempted yorker goes missing and Cummins gets Russell back to strike. Russell loads his heavier blade and smokes Khan's attempted yorker past long-on in a flash. Avesh fires in another yorker, wide off the crease but Russell slices it to sneak in a double to finish the over.
KKR 112/6 in 17 overs: Axar to Karthik. OUT! Karthik casts his own downfall as he falls plumb in front. Axar offers the slider once again as Karthik attempts the reverse-ramp. Absolutely needless against the likes of Axar who darts the ball pretty straight. Kolkata is in tatters and its last hope will be on Russell and new man, Cummins. KKR 105/5 in 16 overs: Birthday boy Russell gets to 6000 T20 runs with a double off the first ball of the over before smoking Ishant over long-on for a huge six. Ishant, however, makes a top comeback as four yorkers follow to keep Karthik and Russell in their tracks.
KKR 95/5 in 15 overs: DK gets rolling as he spoils a fine over from Axar. Karthik launches a cracking slog over mid-wicket for six. Axar loses his length off the final ball and Karthik ensured he made the most out of it.
KKR 86/5 in 14 overs: Rabada keeps Karthik and Russell quiet with another fine over. He's been particularly brilliant tonight so far against Russell as a slew of slower ones and yorkers has put Russell on the back foot.
KKR 82/5 in 13 overs: Avesh Khan to Gill. OUT! A cracking over finishes on a high for Avesh Khan! Avesh initially kept Russell and Gill under the pump, drilling in yorker after yorker. Gill finally set sights on a slog over long-on and is deceived by the slower ball. Gill slots it straight to Smith who has been all night at long-on. And that's Smith's 50th catch in the IPL. KKR 78/4 in 12 overs: Rabada returns and fires in a cracking over. He pushes the ball into Gill who struggles to break free. A couple of singles exchanged and Rabada fires in two cracking yorkers to the birthday boy, Dre Russ.

KKR 75/4 in 11 overs: What an over from Lalit Yadav! Two massive wickets as Morgan and Narine fall within three balls. Morgan aims to attack from the onset and lofts the ball over mid-on, only to find a sliding Steve Smith to complete a fine catch. Narine gets into strike and Yadav gets the ball to turn a shade away from middle to hit off. Narine had no chance whatsoever as the ball clipped the stumps in a flash. KKR 73/2 in 10 overs: Stoinis to Tripathi. OUT! Tripathi holes out to deep cover! Stoinis can afford a smile now. The pressure to up the ante got to Tripathi who slashes a fairly fully and wide delivery from Stoinis up in the air through off. Absolutely no timing there and Lalit Yadav completes an easy catch. KKR 65/1 in 9 overs: Lalit continues to push the ball in quickly to Gill and Tripathi. The pair pushes through the gaps and sneaks in five singles and a double.
KKR 58/1 in 8 overs: Gill latches on to Axar. Is this the night for him, finally? Axar runs through a tight over before Gill sits low on the crease and pummels a cracking slog sweep over deep mid-wicket into the stands.
KKR 50/1 in 7 overs: A fine start for Lalit who drills it into both Gill and Tripathi. Tripathi once again attempts to break the shackles with a slog down the ground, only to find it just short off the long-on fielder.

KKR 45/1 in 6 overs: Gill on thin ice! Ishant cramps Gill who attempts a lofted stoke over mid-on and mistimes it. The ball lobs and just falls inches wide off Rabada near mid-on and the KKR opener has a lucky break.
KKR 32/1 in 5 overs: Avesh Khan fires in the fuller delivery that prompts Gill and Tripathi to deal in singles. Tripathi does not bog down for long as he hammers a drive through the covers off the final ball.

KKR 25/1 in 4 overs: Axar to Rana. OUT! Pant flashes the bails and Rana perishes. Excellent presence of mind from Axar as he saw Rana stepping out. Axar instantly darted the slider wide off Rana's reach and Pant was up to do the rest. A fine take and stumping from the skipper has Delhi pick up the KKR opener. Rana loses his composure after acing a stellar reverse-sweep for six and Axar ends up on top in that short tussle. Nitish Rana st Pant b Axar 15(12) [4s-1 6s-1]

KKR 17/0 in 3 overs: Ishant starts off with a tight line onto the batsmen. Gill breaks Ishant's rhythm with a charged swat down the ground. Delightful stroke and that should get him going.
KKR 10/0 in 2 overs: Rabada gets off to a nice start and even manages to dislodge Rana off his feet with a searing yorker. Rana gives a nice reply with a controlled pull to the mid-wicket boundary the very next ball. Rabada falters in length and pushes it wide off the stumps, allowing Rana to free his arms.

KKR 4/0 in 1 over: Good start from Ishant who hits the right length to keep Rana in his tracks. Four singles in the over as the openers take a cautious approach.

Right, both teams head into the fixture with largely settled combinations. Amit Mishra misses out with an injury for Delhi and that's the only change between the sides tonight.

| Pat Cummins: Not great scenes outside the bubble but within team's going well, sticking tight and playing some decent cricket along the way. Really enjoyed playing at this venue last game, we bowled beautifully on it. It's a nice wicket for us quick bowlers. It's not always easy here (India) for fast bowlers, even venue to venue, Chennai is so different from Mumbai the way it's playing and way you got to bowl. They (Morgan and Baz) have been brilliant. After a couple of losses, just tried to keep reinforcing that, give confidence to the guys, go out there and keep expressing themselves. Feel like we've got a really strong bunch of players here. (On the Narendra Modi Stadium) Fells a bit like the MCG, feels like I am back home. It had a bit of pace and carry at times last game, that was the main thing. |

Under an hour away from the Toss. This will be a stern test for Kolkata's batsmen even as Delhi heads into the fixture after a loss. KKR's openers Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill have faded away in the recent fixtures and a revival is crucial before it's too late. Meanwhile, Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant would want to put his uncharacteristic half-century behind him as soon as possible.

A one run defeat despite two explosive batsmen out at the middle. Credit the opposition bowlers, but Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer would have backed themselves to march over the finishing line. Delhi Capitals has looked solid through its campaign, however, not without a couple of blips along the way. A mercurial Pant leading the troops has been a fresh sight. The unpredictability of it, however, meant Delhi had to put up with the fact of giving away 23 runs in the final over against RCB - eventually playing its part in the result.
The side's concerns are minimal. The No.3 position has been up for a few toss-ups with Steve Smith yet to settle in. However, the bigger concern would be with the form of last season's leading wicket-taker, Kagiso Rabada. The Proteas pacer is yet to fire, having picked up just five wickets in as many games so far.
As for the Knights, the plans fell eventually into place as a concerted bowling effort meant that Morgan's men finally snapped a string of four losses. The skipper would be more than happy to have regained form after he led the tricky chase against Punjab Kings on Monday with an unbeaten 47. Kolkata will be hoping for a restart to its playoffs bid from here and the bruised Capitals would not be an easy challenge.
