Indian pacer Ishant Sharma will be playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 10, according to the team's press release.

Ishant, who played for Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) last season, went unsold in this year's auction.

Unveiling the team jersey, on Tuesday, Virender Sehwag, KXIP's head of cricket operations, said, "I share a strong bond with Ishant Sharma as he played under my captaincy in the Ranji Trophy and later in the Indian team, his addition will most definitely strengthen our squad.”

“I am very excited for IPL 2017. The players are in a great headspace, and the energy around the franchise is very positive."

"We hope to have some fantastic games ahead and I feel with the talent and chemistry this team is building, it will hold us in a good position for this season," Sehwag added.

KXIP, which finished last in the 2016 edition, is looking to better itself. Ishant, who picked up just three wickets in four games for RPS in the last season, will also look to improve.
