While he held fort at one end, the skipper also made it a point to keep the team inspired.

There is almost nothing about him that’s not available on social media. From how he dresses up to what he has on his birthday —everything is just a click away. But there’s not much of a scope to know what goes on in Rohit Sharma’s mind when he takes the field under pressure.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, hasn’t had a great outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season. Even though his side kept the winning flag waving, his form raised a few eyebrows.

However, all the criticisms should end after Monday’s game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After all, it was the captain who led from the front to

guide the Mumbai Indians home , that too at its den at the Wankhede Stadium.

Playing a 37-ball-56 is not a big deal in the shortest format of the game, but what is important, is Sharma’s efforts under pressure. At a time, when the match looked slightly tilted in favour of RCB, the Mumbai batsman kept his cool and ensured that there was no slip-up.

While he held fort at one end, the skipper also made it a point to keep the team inspired.

After all, a team is as good as its captain!
