KKR stars Sunil Narine, Andre Russell land in India for IPL 2021
The two West Indian stars will undergo a seven-day quarantine at a hotel in Mumbai.

Getting used to life in a bio-bubble during the pandemic, Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Andre Russell is determined to do well for his franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
After Russell and Sunil Narine, the two long-serving KKR players from the Caribbean, arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday and began their seven-day quarantine, the former sounded confident.
“Now is the time when we are going to do what we do best, because we know the bubble. We are used to this situation, our mindset is already planned for this.

Both Russell and Narine expressed their pleasure over playing in India this time.
“We are closer to you guys now, the games are in India…whether you guys are watching from home or the stands, we will be representing purple and gold,” said Russell.
“Whenever you think about the IPL, you think about India,” said Narine, reflecting on playing the tournament in the UAE last season.
“So, it is great to be back. Hopefully, we can have a better season than the one last year."
Narine urged the KKR fans to back the side. “Keep supporting us, no matter what the situation. We are going to go out there and give our best,” he said.
KKR players and support staff have started gathering in Mumbai from Saturday for the mandatory quarantine phase before the team begins its training sessions.
As per the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) guidelines, players involved in the India-England series, including Eoin Morgan, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna, will make a bubble-to-bubble transfer and join the team directly without serving quarantine.
