Rahul Johri has recently been alleged of sexual misconduct on Twitter by an unnamed woman.

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) has stopped the BCCI CEO Rahul Johri from attending the ICC Chief Executives meeting in Singapore scheduled for October 17 to 20.

Following allegations of sexual harassment on social media, the CoA has sought an explanation from him. The ICC is set to discuss the issue also during the meeting.

The CoA has asked BCCI acting-secretary Amitabh Choudhary to attend the meeting. Choudhary is Director, representing the BCCI on the ICC Board, COA chief Vinod Rai told PTI.

“Rahul had sought 14 days for a detailed explanation as he said that he is working with his legal team and since he was to attend ICC Meeting from October 16-19 in Singapore,” Rai said.

“But I clearly told Rahul that I cannot let this issue simmer for 14 days as the BCCI office will be affected by it. Since he wants to sit with his lawyers now, I allowed him exemption from ICC Meeting,” he added.

Chaudhary, meanwhile, is already there in Singapore.
