Sri Lankan bowlers deliver the goods and closes it out. A collective bowling performance from the Lankans put down the Carribeans. Deonarine’s (63 from 39) lone struggle brought WI-L close but he didn’t get much support from anyone else.
Danza Hyatt b Gunaratne 17 (19b), Hyatt misreads that one and is castled. SL-L chipping away in this defense. But WI-L still has Deonarine out in the middle, who is still going strong at 59*.
Dilshan follows Jayasuriya with his part-time off-spinners. He draws a mistake from William Perkins and Mendis pulls off a great catch. Deonarine has kept the WI-L chase afloat with some big hits.
Dwayne Smith lbw b Jayasuriya 23 (24b). Sanath Jayasuriya traps Dwayne Smith before the wicket with his loopy left-arm spin. Crucial breakthrough for SL-L, as Smith was about launch off. Jayasuriya makes it a double by bowling Kirk Edwards. Dream passage of play for the Lankans
Brian Lara is the first to fall, but only after he managed to crunch a few boundaries. Narsingh Deonarine is the next to come in and he sets off soon with a couple of boundaries against Udana. WI-L are going steady in the chase.

Sri Lanka is getting its boundaries but is paying off for them using regular wickets. Ishan Jayaratne has been in terrific touch so far. Meanwhile, all WI-L bowlers deployed so far has got a wicket apiece.
Sanath Jayasuriya lbw b Santokie 26 (19b 3x4 ) That one swung out of the way of Jayasuriya’s swing and that is the end of the opener’s stint with the bat.
Udawatte begins with a few boundaries before he was given caught out against Powell. Jayasuriya has motored on since and has put Sri Lanka ahead in the contest. Some masterful boundaries from the destructive southpaw.
