HIGHLIGHTS |

It has been a miraculous day at the Wankhede Stadium, two epic chases by Kerala and Puducherry to mark an excellent day for domestic T20 cricket.

Puducherry 228/6 after 19.2 overs: SHELDON JACKSON has done it in style! A six to bring up his hundred of just 49 balls and a boundary off the next ball to complete the highest run-chase in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy history!

Puducherry 218/6 after 19 overs: This is going right down to the wire! 8 to win off the final over! Sheldon Jackson is on strike, unbeaten on 96 off just 48 balls!

Puducherry 205/6 after 18 overs: Puducherry crosses 200. Jackson has moved into the 90s. Stephen picked up a wicket of Viknesh but Jackson has made the most of the final two balls to smash a six and a boundary to reduce the pressure. The chase is entirely pinned on him.

Puducherry 194/5 after 17 overs: 33 need off 18 for Puducherry to win. Andhra manages to slip in another quiet over. Jackson is missing out on a partner who can go for the big hits.

Puducherry 188/5 after 16 overs: A quiet over for Pondicherry as the side loses another wicket. Stephen returns and picks up Marimuthu and Jackson who is on 80* is losing partners at the other end. Clearly, Jackson's match to win from now.

Puducherry 184/4 after 15 overs: This has been a miraculous turnaround, just what we had asked post the Powerplay. Sheldon Jackson and his partner Paras Dogra has brought this match Pondicherry's way in remarkable fashion. 43 needed of 30 balls now! This could break the afternoon's record-breaking chase of Kerala against Delhi.

Puducherry 171/3 after 14 overs: Breathtaking strokeplay from Sheldon Jackson! His brute partner Paras Dogra was unlucky to have dismissed after a shot straight down the ground, a sure-shot six was denied by a stunning catch by Hebbar. But, Jackson has maintained his charm at the other end, launching onto every loose ball coming his way.

Puducherry 143/2 after 12 overs: A 17-ball half-century for Paras Dogra! 2 fours and six whopping sixes to his name. Some serious hitting here and Andhra is having a taste of its own medicine here.

Puducherry 116/2 after 10 overs: Paras Dogra has latched onto Ashwin Hebbar!! Four sixes from the over with Dogra launching three massive ones and Jackson following suit. The chase is very well on now, folks.

Puducherry 90/2 after 9 overs: WHAT A TURNAROUND! Just as we expected a little something from the Dogra-Jackson pair, they have delivered. 44 runs have come in the last three overs and this has just provided the momentum for them.

Puducherry 46/2 after 6 overs: It has been a dull start for Puducherry with both openers failing to light up the scoreboard. Skipper Rohit was the first to be dismissed for 9 while his partner Karthik survived to make 23. Puducherry's experienced campaigners Sheldon Jackson and Paras Dogra. Can the duo script a miraculous comeback, much alike how Andhra reinvented itself post the Powerplay in its innings?

Puducherry 21/0 after 3 overs: The openers have opted for a cautious start much alike the Andhra batsmen. Surely, they would want to accelerate more in the remaining three overs of field restrictions. Skipper Rohit is yet to make a mark while Karthik has opted to go for the boundaries.

Puducherry 4/0 after 1 over: Stephen's inswing deliveries has cramped the Pondicherry batsmen. Rohit tried to step on the pedal off the first ball but is kept quite by Stephen's accurate and probing line.

Pondicherry batsmen walks to the crease for a mammoth chase. Captain Rohit D and S Karthik are out at the middle. Stephen opens the bowling for Andhra.

Brief Score: Andhra 226/4 Rayudu 62*, Bharat 62, Udeshi 2/33 in 20 overs

FOW: 1-107 (Ashwin Hebbar, 10.4 ov), 2-109 (Srikar Bharat, 11.1 ov), 3-146 (Ricky Bhui, 14.2 ov), 4-217 (Prasanth Kumar, 19.2 ov)

Meanwhile it was carnage in Indore as well with Saurashtra's Avi Barot continuing his fine form after a 93 agains Vidarbha in the previous game with a stellar 122 off just 53 balls, powering his side to 214/5 in 20 overs.

Brief Score: Saurashtra 215/4 - Barot 122, Vyas 41, Dinda 2/32 in 20 overs

Andhra 226/4 after 20 overs: What a finish this has been. Skipper Ambati Rayudu has led from the front after a stellar 107-run opening partnership by Bharat and Hebbar.  This is now the highest score in the Group E fixtures held in Mumbai this season. Puducherry was off to a brilliant start in the Powerplay, conceding only 36 in the process. Since then, it has been an altogether different kind of assault from the Andhra batsmen.

Andhra 213/3 after 19 overs: Ambati Rayudu brings up a 21-ball 50.  Andhra flies past 200 with ease.  His partner Prashant has taken the attack from ball one as well, racing to 28 off 13 balls.

Andhra 180/3 after 17 overs: A vintage Rayudu is on display! He has taken the attack to Pankaj Singh, steps out and launches two masterful sixes.

Andhra 164/2 after 16 overs: Prasanth Kumar has smoked Ashith Sanganakkal for two brilliant boundaries - one a cracking slice over deep point for six off a full delivery and it is followed by a shot-arm jab for four through mid-wicket.

Andhra 148/2 after 15 overs: Rayudu continues the attack even as Bhui has fallen in his attempt to raise the bar. Pondicherry struggling to stop the run flow as Andhra can eye 200 from this position.  Ricky Bhui c Fabid Ahmed b Udeshi 13

Andhra 132/2 after 13 overs: Skipper Rayudu and Ricki Bhui are continuing the assault. Rayudu has hit two cracking strokes to fetch 10 runs while Bhui pummels a four of the final ball of the over.

Andhra 117/2 after 12 overs: Bharat follows Hebbar in similar fashion. He takes on Vignesh for a shot down the ground and fails to attract the desired power and is caught comfortably at long-off. His knock has put Andhra in the driver's seat tonight. Srikar Bharat c Fabid Ahmed b Vignesh 62

Andhra 109/1 after 11 overs: Sagar Udeshi returns to the attack and manages to keep Hebbar quite for a while before he holes out to the long-off fielder. Hebbar's stay has come to an end after playing second fiddle to Bharat Ashwin Hebbar c Dogra b Udeshi 45

Andhra 101/0 after 10 overs: The batsmen have not spared any one since the PP. The Puducherry skipper Rohit has been smacked for two sixes and a boundary, giving away another 19 runs in the process. Pondicherry has completely lost the plot.

Andhra 82/0 after 9 overs: KS Bharat is flapping his wings here! A poor from Sagar Trivedi is treated with disdain as Bharat smashes consecutive sixes off him to fetch a 19-run over. Pondicherry is letting it slip away after controlling the runs well in the Powerplay. It's been poor bowling ever since.

Andhra 63/0 after 8 overs: Bharat and Hebbar have not flinched after a poor start. They have opened up the attack and has hit three sixes off the last two overs

Andhra 36/0 after 6 overs: Andhra is off to a lull. The Puducherry bowlers have cut down the runs and has forced the openers to deal in singles.

Andhra 33/0 after 5 overs: Spinner Sagar Udeshi bowled well and foxed Ashwin Hebbar with a brilliant delivery. Hebbar stepped out and missed the ball and the keeper Karthik seemed to have stumped the right-hander. The third-umpire has declared it to be not out. A controversial decision being made there.

Andhra 22/0 after 4 overs: Pankaj Singh and Ashith Sanganakkal have bowled two overs apiece and have kept the Andhra openers quiet so far in the Powerplay.

Andhra 3/0 after 1 over: A fine start from Pankaj Singh with the ball. Keeps the ball up and attacks the stumps.

Match Underway - Andhra openers Ashwin Hebbar and K S Bharat are at the crease. Pankaj Singh opens the bowling for Puducherry.

====================

Robin Uthappa and Vishnu Vinod have made light work of a commanding chase. Uthappa's 95 and Vinod's unbeaten 71 denied Delhi its third consecutive win of the tournament. Kerala lost two quick wickets but counterattacked through Uthappa and Sachin Baby. Baby couldn't convert his start and fell for 22. However, that didn't deter the spirits of Sanju Samson's men, who rode on a century stand between Uthappa and Vishnu Vinod to get over the line with an over to spare.

FALL OF WICKETS: 1-1 (Mohammed Azharuddeen, 0.3 ov), 2-30 (Sanju Samson, 3.3 ov), 3-71 (Sachin Baby, 7.3 ov), 4-204 (Robin, 17.5 ov)

Kerala 168/3 in 15 Overs: Vishnu Vinod got stuck into Pawan Negi, playing two delightful switch-hits for six. Uthappa slammed a 34-ball 50 to put the pressure back on Delhi. Ishant Sharma clean bowled Vinod but off a no-ball, further compounding problems for the Dhawan-led side.

Kerala 95/3 in 10 Overs: Sachin Baby and Robin Uthappa's counterattack kept the good vibes flowing for Kerala. But just as the partnership was starting to grow, all-rounder Lalit Yadav caught Baby off his own bowling. Uthappa hasn't given up yet. He is nearing his 50 and made his intent clear with two back-to-back sixes off Pawan Negi. Uthappa has Vishnu Vinod for company.

Kerala 46/2 after 5 Overs : Ishant Sharma struck with the third ball of his first over to get rid of opener Azharuddeen. Pradeepo Sangwan then removed skipper Sanju Samson to leave Kerala reeling in the Powerplay. The onus will be on Robin Uthappa and Sachin Baby to make a contest out of this.

Delhi 146/3 in 15 Overs: Sreesanth got his first wicket of the match with the dismissal of Nitish Rana. Meanwhile, Dhawan has reached his 50 off 33 balls.
