Indian cricketer M.S. Dhoni spends time with Sarfraz Ahmed’s son Abdullah before the Champions Trophy final. As intense as an India-Pakistan rivalry can be, players made it a point to spread a message of love and warmth.
Virat Kohli, Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh (subsequent pictures) kept their date with Azhar Ali’s children ahead of the mercurial summit clash that ended in Pakistan’s favour. The Pakistani batsmen appreciated the gesture by the Indian trio and posted the heart-warming pictures on Twitter.
M.S. Dhoni poses with Azhar Ali’s sons at the Indian team’s dressing room. Dhoni certainly seems to be a hit with the kids.
Yuvraj Singh too joined in the fun and gave a moment to remember for the starstruck kids.
As yet another example of cricket being a unifying force, Indian and Pakistani share a light moment just before the Champions Trophy final.
A screen grab taken from a video shared by ICC shows Shoaib Malik regaling his fellow cricketers with an amusing story. Kohli and Yuvraj can be seen having a good laugh. Talk about spirit of cricket!
