Belgium finally lived up to its favourites tag as they thrashed Hungary 4-0 in the Round of 16 game. Both the teams started with a 4-2-3-1 formation, but Belgium squad was one level above the hard working Hungary team. The day belonged to Eden Hazard, who put out one of his best performances ever on the left wing.

He scored one and created one goal for his team. De Bruyne, who has created the most number of chances In the tournament was also in fine form and he delivered the ball for the first goal, scored by Alderweireld. Then came the substitute Batshuayi who got on the end of an Eden Hazard cross, scoring with his first touch.

Hazard too got his name on the score sheet with a sensational goal.Carrasco, another substitute scored in the injury time to give Belgium the win. Belgium raided the Hungary box with 14 shots on target, Huingary too were attacking and had its share of opportunities but it lacked the same quality in the final third.

In fact its pass accuracy was a touch better than Belgium. Belgium will also be proud of its defence as it won 61% of the tackles. Belgium is finding its stride in the business end of the tournament and will now face Wales for a place in the quarter-finals.
