Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be a relieved man as star forward Mo Salah has been passed fit for the Genk UEFA Champions League game.

Liverpool heads to Genk in search of crucial points in Group E, which is intriguingly poised after the first two matchdays. Napoli leads the group with four points, while Liverpool and RB Salzburg are second and third having won one and lost one of their two fixtures so far.

- GENK VS LIVERPOOL -

Genk lies bottom of Group E with one point, which came against Napoli at home on matchday two. The fixture against the defending European champion is pivotal to Genk's chances of qualifying from the group, while it would also dent Liverpool's chances of qualifying with it playing Napoli and RB Salzburg in its final two Group E fixtures.

Genk goes into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League, while Liverpool rescued a point against Manchester United to retain its unbeaten start in the Premier League.

Mohamed Salah missed the away fixture against United with an ankle injury and of the Egyptian's availability for the Genk trip, manager Jurgen Klopp said: “Maybe for Wednesday, we have to see.”

Match Facts

  • Liverpool has won 10, lost two and drawn one of its fixtures against Belgian opposition

- SALZBURG VS NAPOLI -

Salzburg will rue the fact that it dropped a point against Liverpool at Anfield on matchday two, having fought back from a 3-0 deficit.

Its tally of nine goals in its opening two Group E fixtures is evidence of its attacking potency, but in Napoli, Salzburg faces an opponent that has kept two clean sheets in its two fixtures so far. The match-up between the home team's attacking players and the visitor's defence makes this an intriguing battle on matchday three.

Salzburg goes into Wednesday's fixture having drawn its league match at the weekend against Sturm Graz, while Napoli secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Hellas Verona.
