MATCH REPORT: Chelsea outclasses Real Madrid to reach Champions League final
The referee blows the final whistle and Chelsea joins Manchester City in the 2020-21 Champions League final and every sane observer of the game will approve of its qualification for the summit clash.
Goals from Timo Werner in the first half and Mason Mount in the second half meant that the Blues earned a deserved spot for the title, for which they need to go past a sublime Manchester City side, in Istanbul on May 29.

62' Nacho is booked for a tackle and later an aggressive looking altercation with Havertz.
59' CHANCE! Open spaces for Chelsea to capitalise upon and it does so as a lovely ball comes in towards Havertz and he fires in a shot, but Courtois is up to the task and puts out his right foot to save it.
53' WHAT A CHANCE FOR CHELSEA! Werner plays in a lovely back heel to Mount, who fires in a shot from close range, but ball goes well over the goal. Mount lacked composure on that occasion.
51' Chelsea has had more of the possession since the start of the half. It gets a free kick after Chilwell is brought down by Mendy. The delivery comes in, Thiago Silva rises and heads the ball over the goal.
47' Chelsea begins on the front foot as Havertz heads a fine delivery from Azpilicueta and the ball strikes the top of the post and goes over.

That was a 45 minutes which Real Madrid will look back and feel how they are not in a better position. They had lot more possession than Chelsea, Karim Benzema had two shots on goal and yet they trail, thanks to a somewhat fortunate goal for Chelsea from Timo Werner.
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy deserves a special mention as he has managed to keep the score line 1-0 at half-time with some fine saves.

35' CHANCE! Modric puts in a cross from the left, to Benzema, who jumps up in the air, heads the ball towards the goal, but Mendy saves it.

11' SHOT! Rudiger aims for goal from a long range and it is parried away by Courtois. Then Mount comes sprinting down the left wing and the goalkeeper is there to stop the shot with his left foot.
10' Real Madrid has had the large chunk of the possession in the last few minutes and with a bit of space in front of him, Kroos goes for goal and it lands straight in goalkeeper Mendy's hands.
Unlike the City-PSG game last night, a lot more sedate start to this semifinal.

12:10am: Thomas Tuchel featured in last year’s Champions League final when he was with Paris Saint-Germain, which was knocked out last night by Manchester City.
This time, with a Chelsea squad brimming with potential similar to that of PSG, the German will hope to go all the way and clinch the title.
One of the players who delivered for Chelsea in the first leg was N’Golo Kante and Tuchel was hopeful the Frenchman would take the Blues all the way in the Champions League.

11:30pm: So Zinedine Zidane has opted to start with Hazard in the return leg. The Belgian did get game time last week in the first leg and it seems like Zidane possibly is trying to play a psychological mind game by starting the forward for this game. Sergio Ramos is also expectedly back for Los Blancos.
For Chelsea, the goal scorer from the first leg- Christan Pulisic- misses out as Thomas Tuchel has preferred Kai Havertz as one of the three forwards, along with Timo Werner and Mason Mount.
