Hyderabad FC begins its Durand Cup with a clinical performance over TRAU FC. At no stage in the game, did the ISL Champion look threatened as it reeled in an easy win thanks to two long-range goals. Halicharan Narzary and Borja Gonzalez scored in each half, with the former scoring a right-footed curler, while the latter banging it in with his left foot.

Manolo Marquez and his men have three more matches in the group stage, with the next being a clash against fellow ISL side Chennaiyin FC on August 26. TRAU FC will be next up against Army Red FT on August 28.

57’ Borja Gonzalez scores
Substitute Borja Gonazalez scores the second for HFC. Hyderabad passes the ball around and it reaches Borja Gonzalez, whose first touch sets up the half volley. Gonzalez then unleashes a left-footed thunderbolt which pierces the TRAU FC goal. 2-0 for HFC.
HALF TIME - HYDERABAD FC LEADS 1-0
Hyderabad FC has clearly been the dominant side. But it has just one goal to show for its superiority and that came courtesy of an outrageous finish by Halicharan Narzary. HFC needs to put itself further ahead to safeguard the win.
GOALLL!! HFC 1 - 0 TRAU FC (27’)
That is some goal to start your Durand Cup campaign. A loose ball pops outside the box and Halicharan Narzary pounces on it and curls it into the right top corner. A beauty of a goal from the winger. HFC leads 1-0.
20 MINUTES
Neither side has created any clear-cut chances so far. TRAU FC has looked particularly dangerous on the counter, with its long balls causing some trouble for the Hyderabad defense. Hyderabad has had the greater share of possession, but it hasn’t succeeded in striking a rhythm so far.
