FIFA U-17 World Cup: India gets behind the team!

As the Indian U-17 team gears up to make history in its first ever appearance in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the boys in blue got the backing of Sachin Tendulkar, Harsha Bhogle, VVS Laxman, Akshay Kumar and more.

As the Indian U-17 team gears up to make history in its first ever appearance in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the boys in blue got the backing of Sachin Tendulkar, Harsha Bhogle, VVS Laxman, Akshay Kumar, Dipa Karmakar and more.

India coach's advice to his boys

Unsurprisingly, member of the senior national team gave warm messages of support with the likes of Sunil Chhetri, Jeje Lalpekhlua, Pritam Kotal, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Sandesh Jhigan all taking to social media to wish Luis Norton de Matos' side

ahead of its opener against the USA .

 

'A historic occasion'

Sachin Tendulkar took to Instagram to wish the side, saying: "It is a big moment for all of us. It should be incredible and I'm really happy about it. I'm so sure the boys will give their very best. All the very best boys."

Arjuna awardee Dipa Karmakar all backed the team. "Wish you all the best India football team. I'm confident you will perform your best and the whole India is with you. Good luck."
