Spaniard centre-back Agustin Garcia Iniguez, who is popularly known as Agus and played for Cypriot club, Nea Salamina, has signed for ATK for the upcoming season.

Agus appeared in seven La Liga matches representing Albacete Balompie in 2004-05 before joining the Real Madrid ‘B’ team.

Agus signed for Cordoba CF from 2009 to 2011. He continued competing in his country's division two, representing AD Alcorcon, RCD Mallorca and Albacete.

The defender signed with Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2016. The following year he moved to the Danish first division and joined Esbjerg on a two-year deal, where he also played as a striker.

The 34-year-old will join Anas Edathodika to fortify the defence of ATK.

“I am very happy about signing Agus to the team. He is a versatile player and he has a lot to bring to the table. Looking forward to creating a defence strategy with his strengths in mind,” said ATK head coach Antonio Lopez Habas.
