Aibanbha Dohling signs two-year playing contract with FC Goa

The defender made 19 appearances for Shillong Lajong in the 2018-19 I-League season.

FC Goa's style of play was a reason for Dohling to choose the club.

Aibanbha Dohling, a versatile centre-back, has signed a two-year playing contract with FC Goa. He will represent the club in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Dohling made 19 appearances for Shillong Lajong in the 2018-19 I-League season, having debuted for the side in 2017-18. He was part of Lajong's youth set-up before this.

In 2012, Dohling joined the Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur. Dohling spent four years at the academy before rejoining Lajong.

Versatility is a big part of Dohling’s game, as is his ability to play with the ball. A self-styled ‘ball-playing defender’, Dohling was part of a young all-Indian Lajong side in the previous I-League season.

“I am very pleased to have joined FC Goa because I love their style of play and I think I can make a contribution with the way that I like to pass and play with the ball. It is a big reason as to why I chose FC Goa as the team to join,” Dohling said.
