Chhetri: 'Important to have more football nurseries'

Sunil Chhetri pleaded with the parents to encourage their children to play football for a healthy life. He also talked about his career and some of his favourite goals.

Sunil Chhetri, captain of the Indian football team, visited the Anadi Barua Football Academy in Noida on Friday.

Barua, also a former National women’s coach, has been engaged in training youngsters at the stadium for almost a decade now. He was happy to share a few success stories with the kids in order to motivate them to take up football.

Chhetri pleaded with the parents to encourage their children to play football for a healthy life. He also talked about his career and some of his favourite goals.

The India captain insisted that India had the potential to excel at the international level, and it was important to have more and more football nurseries at the school level.
