I-League 2021-22: Real Kashmir surprises RoundGlass Punjab

Real Kashmir FC struck once on either side of the two halves to surprise RoundGlass Punjab FC 2-0 and regained winning form, in a seventh round match of the I-League at Kalyani Stadium on Friday.

Surchandra Singh produced the insurance goal five minutes after the break to secure three points for Real Kashmir.

Mason Robertson nodded home the lead in the eighth minute before substitute Surchandra Singh produced the insurance goal five minutes after the break to ensure the full quota of points for Real Kashmir.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan United FC earned its fifth straight clean sheet by playing out a goalless draw against Kenkre FC at Naihati Stadium.

In the third match of the day, Gokulam Kerala FC held Mohammedan Sporting to a 1-1 draw in the day’s third I-League match held at Naihati Stadium on Friday.

Mohammedan Sporting found the lead in the 27th minute off a goal from Andelo Rudovic before Luka Majcen found the equaliser from a penalty in the later stage of the second half to help Gokulam Kerala earn a point from the crucial encounter. Mohammedan Sporting continued to lead the current standings with 16 points from seven matches while Gokulam Kerala netted 14 points from six outings to remain in the second spot.
