"My team was pressurising from the beginning, we had more chances, more possession…My team played very well," Roberto Carlos said.

After managing a 1-1 draw against Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here, Delhi Dynamos coach Roberto Carlos heaved a sigh of relief.

“It would have been the worst defeat of my life,” said Carlos in post match on Friday. “My team was pressurising from the beginning, we had more chances, more possession…My team played very well.”

Carlos said Dynamos gave an improved performance versus Mumbai. “Against North East, I was not happy. But tonight I am very happy. The players deserved the last-minute goal, because they made a lot of effort.”

On Mumbai's defensive approach, the Brazilian said, “Normally when you play against a defensive team, you have to take care of possession…In a game like this, had we focused on passing more accurately, we could have won 3-0. But we were unlucky.”

Carlos explained the logic behind fielding two new strikers in Seminlen Doungel and Adil Nabi. “We have way too many games going. Players don’t recover very fast. That is why we have been changing…As far as the defence is concerned, I don’t need to change much because they do not run much.” However, he hardly had anything to say on the lack of goals by his team.

Mumbai coach Nicolas Anelka was disheartened because of the last minute goal conceded by his side. “I think we should have won. I would not say I am not happy with a draw but we need to keep going.”

Speaking on Mumbai's defensive approach, Anelka said, “I told them to stay compact and play on the counter. I think it worked well. It’s a shame (not to get three points).”
