Kerala Blasters appoints Pradeep talent scout in Kerala

In his new role, Pradeep will work closely with the Indian Super League club’s new head coach Steve Coppell and assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed to discover promising young players in Kerala.

N. P. Pradeep represented India in various age groups and made his senior national debut at the 2005 South Asian Championship which India won and was the star of the country’s 2007 Nehru Cup triumph.

Kerala Blasters FC has appointed former international N.P. Pradeep as its official player scout in Kerala.

In his new role, Pradeep will work closely with the Indian Super League club’s new head coach Steve Coppell and assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed to discover promising young players in Kerala.

“It is our endeavour to promote and nurture home-grown talent, and to lay this foundation, N.P. Pradeep will work with Steve and Ishfaq in finding and evaluating young talented players,” said Viren D’silva, the CEO of Blasters.

Pradeep, who hails from Thodupuzha, started his professional career with State Bank of Travancore at 17. An all-rounder, he represented the country in various age groups and made his senior national debut at the 2005 South Asian Championship which India won and was the star of the country’s 2007 Nehru Cup triumph.

The versatile star has played for some of the country’s prominent clubs, including National League champion Mahindra United, Viva Kerala, Mohun Bagan, Dodsal Football Club and Mumbai and gained a reputation of being a team man.
