Man Utd eyes victory, Barcelona keen to make winning start

European teams will want to head into the first international break of the season with victories in their league outings on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho has endured a difficult fortnight at the helm and will be keen to arrest the slump by winning at Turf Moor.

Even this early in the season, the Premier League table has started to take shape with Liverpool and Chelsea setting the early pace and Manchester United will not want to fall many points behind its domestic rivals. Elsewhere in Europe, Barcelona has a chance to consolidate the solid start to its LaLiga title defence and Napoli will try to record a hat-trick of wins in Serie A.

Here's Sportstar 's preview of the matches in the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A on Sunday.

Premier League

Manchester United travels to Turf Moor on Sunday looking to arrest a two-match losing streak and lighten the mood in the camp somewhat. It faces a team (Burnley) which also has lost its last two matches and does not appear to be the defensively-solid unit it was last season.

Two teams which have had perfect starts to their league campaigns, Tottenham Hotspur and Watford will look to go into the international break on a high.

Arsenal has a chance to build on its home victory against West Ham United when it faces Cardiff City away from home in the early kick-off on Sunday.

LaLiga

Barcelona hosts newly-promoted SD Huesca in on Sunday with a chance to record its third consecutive league victory of the season. Huesca has collected four points from its opening two matches, which have been away from home as well.

Levante hosts Valencia in the early kick-off, which is followed by Espayol facing Alaves away from home. Sevilla's away fixture against Real Betis rounds off the weekend. Espanyol and Sevilla are unbeaten in the league so far.

Serie A

Napoli, under Carlo Ancelotti, faces Sampdoria away from home, looking to continue its good start to the season with wins over Lazio and AC Milan in its opening two fixtures.

In the other six fixtures on Sunday, Lazio hosts Frosinone, Chievo hosts Empoli, Sassuolo hosts Genoa, Fiorentina hosts Udinese, while Atalanta and Torino play host to Cagliari and SPAL respectively.
