The USWNT co-captain is writing a book, which is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020,  The New York Times reported  Thursday.

The book, which has yet to receive a title, will be published by Penguin Press and will be about more than sports.

It will include aspects and personal lessons Rapinoe learned throughout her life, according to Penguin Press president and editor in chief Ann Godoff.

“A lot of women, great women soccer players, have written memoirs,” Godoff said. “Megan has a different platform.”

While watching the World Cup, she said, “I thought, ‘Here’s a woman who is comfortable in her own skin,’” and noted her own children’s excitement about Rapinoe’s authenticity.

“She’s just operating from this very honest and straightforward and ‘This is who I am’ place,” Godoff added. “I think that’s what many people aspire to.”
