Hello and welcome to Sportstar’s coverage of the ProKabaddi match between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan.
Another win where Puneri Paltan allowed the opposition to take a point. One wonders when the men in orange will bring in some fiscal discipline in their victories. However, given a few jitters in the beginning, a solid all-round performance saw the Paltan strengthen their hold on the top spot in the standings with this win. Their captain Fazel Atrachali also became the most successful captain in the history of PKL with 53 victories to his name.

29-36 Ajith is chipping away at the other end and is making a case for himself in this Jaipur side. He takes out Sanket Sawant
28-36 Aslam Inamdar is on fire. Two points for Puneri Paltan. He jumps over one, goes under the second and then turns around and gets his feet across the line. Incredible fitness and athleticism.
28-34 There’s a touch for Ajith as Fazel again makes an error. He breaks away from the chain on the left and goes ahead of Ajith. Ajith seeing Fazel uses the dubki to escape him and take the point.
27-34 Ajith Kumar comes away with a quick touch. Remember only four men remain on the mat for Jaipur
26-34 Ajith comes back empty handed as Fazel stays clear of him. He is looking for the touch not just a bonus. Fazel knows and is riling him up on that left corner.
26-34 Do or die raid and Aslam comes in as Mohit is subbed off. Abishek goes for him on the right flank and Aslam turns and flies with him.
26-33 Ajith continues to deal in bonus points.

24-33 Bonus for Arjun Deshwal but it’s all going Pune’s way as he is tackled by Badal Singh.
23-32 Yet again, Mohit Goyat manages a brilliant do-or-die raid. He waits till the dying seconds of the raid and looks like he eases out on a bomnus attempt, something that draws Ankush out. Mohit just has to struggle for a second to reach the midline. But needs some medical attention for the tackled leg.
18-20 Bhavani Rajput gets a bonus right in the middle as Pune opens up the defence. Bhavani Rajput walks right into the trap and Sanket Sawant is there to close him out for a point.
17-20 Ankush brings down Aslam Inamdar with help from Sahul Kumar close to the midline on the right. Wrestling move to get a point in their favour.
HALFTIME BREAK
16-20 Puneri Paltan brings down Arjun Deshwal and take a four-point lead heading into the halftime break.
16-19 Arjun continues to take bonuses from under Fazel’s nose. SUPER 10 for Arjun Deshwal.
15-19 Fazel has no time to rest on the bench as Aakash Shinde revives him instantly. Reza Mirbagheri the man taken in return.
15-18 Arjun Deshwal comes in and Fazel goes for the backhold far too close to the midline. Too easy for Arjun to take the Sultan with him to the midline. But Fazel is down, rubbing his eyes. Hope he’s alright. That does not look too good.
14-18 TWO POINT RAID for Akash Shinde. He gets Reza Mirbagheri and Abhishek KS
14-16 THERE’S THE ALL OUT. Sombir, the right corner, brings Arjun Deshwal down to trigger the all out.
13-13 Arjun Deshwal gets a bonus point while Mohit Goyat gets Sahul Kumar.
12-12 Aslam Inamdar is raiding. Reza goes for both his legs, dangerously close to the midline though. If he had support, Aslam could have been reigned in but he doesn’t get any help and Aslam thumps past the midline.
12-11 Bhavani Rajput is brought down in the right flank as he runs too parallely to the midline.
12-10 Oh Akash Shinde has done something here. Officials are discussing. Let’s try and describe this for you. Both teams get a point. Akash runs in from the right to the left cover and turns with his back to his team close to the midline, but he’s cornered and brought down. However, Sunil Kumar is found to be completely off court.
11-9 TWO POINTS to Bhavani Rajput. Mohit Goyat and Sanket Sawant give away touches. The most important thing here is that Arjun is back on court and the all out has been avoided, for now. What a strategic sub.
9-9 Scores level as Aslam Inamdar comes back with two points to reduce Jaipur to two men
9-7 Rahul Chaudhari comes in on a do-or-die raid. Combination ankle hold from Fazel and Akash Shinde removes the showman and he is annoyed with himself.
9-6 Ankush and Rahul Chaudhari combine to push Mohit Goyat out of the mat. Pity, as Mohit came in hoping to get Jaipur closer to an all-out, one man at a time.
8-6 Mohit Goyat also attacks the left corner and in escaping gets a sleek touch on Sahul Kumar on the way to the midline.
8-5 Arjun Deshwal gets a bonus from under Fazel’s nose but continues to attack that left corner. This time, the right gets into action and closes Arjun out. A point each to both teams

7-3 Sliding toe touch from Arjun Deshwal and his victim is Abinesh Nadarajan
6-3 Mohit Goyat takes out Rahul Chaudhari and revives his skipper. Fazel rushes back to plot his team’s next strategy
6-2 Arjun continues to torment the left corner. It’s Aslam there and he needs to head to the bench.
5-2 Aslam Inamdar takes out Rahul Chaudhari as he too attempts a thigh hold a little too high up on the mat. Avenged, eh Aslam? The revivals coming quick for Pune.

3-1 Jaipur gets a quick bonus point courtesy Arjun Deshwal.

2-0 Arjun Deshwal also picks up a point, taking Abinesh Nadarajan out of the mat
1-0 Aslam goes for Rahul Chaudhari’s ankles as he steps back for a bonus attempt, but he almost shakes him off and thumps ahead of the midline. Aslam heads to the bench.
0-0 Empty raid for Aslam Inamdar as well.
0-0 Rahul Chaudhari quickly attempts a bonus under the right in. But he isn’t given the point. Goes back empty-handed.
Puneri Paltan has won the toss and chosen court. Jaipur will raid first.
“Arjun has always been very good. If he comes good, it will be very good for us. The idea is, when the raider comes, we should not allow them to settle, we should tackle. We have some plans, we’ll show you in the match. ”Fazel AtrachaliPuneri Paltan captain
