MATCH REPORT| Bulls overcome Thalaivas after late all-out; Nitesh guides UP to win over Bengal

Earlier today, the UP Yoddha beat the Bengal Warriors 32-29 in a tight contest. And now, the home team Bengaluru Bulls has beaten its rival the Tamil Thalaivas 33-27 in match 70 of PKL 2019.

And both the matches of the evening are done now!

33 - 27: GAME OVER! Pawan Sehrawat gets a bonus point for Bengaluru Bulls and Tamil Thalaivas get three straight points to get one point from this fixture. Ajay Thakur evaded Mahender Singh first to get a raid point and then Manjeet Chhilar sent both Rohit Kumar and Pawan Sehrawat to the bench to end the game. Where was this Manjeet all match!??

32 - 24: Pawan Sehrawat and Ajay Thakur come up with a successful raid point each! 17 raid points for Pawan today. He's made the difference for the Bulls once again against the Thalaivas. AND IT'S A TIME-OUT!! Two minutes to go!

30 - 23: ALL-OUT!!! Manjeet Chhilar has five unsuccessful tackles today. He's been very poor. HIGH-5 for Amit Sheoran!!! Pawan first took out both the Chhilars one more time in the same raid this game. Ran Singh, the lonely man for Tamil Thalaivas, went in to raid, he got a bonus and finally Amit took him out to claim another milestone. Seven-point lead for Bengaluru Bulls here.

25 - 22: ONE MORE SUPER TACKLE!!!! Mohit Chhilar gets the better of Bengaluru captain Rohit Kumar. Amit Sheoran executes a wonderful thigh hold on V Ajith Kumar next. Three-point lead for the Bulls over the Thalaivas now. TIME-OUT TAKEN!!!

24 - 20:  SUPER TACKLE!!! Sagar absolutely floored Pawan Sehrawat there. Two points for the Thalaivas. Bengaluru trying very hard to inflict the all-out but the substitutes of the opposition are putting up a fight here.

23 - 18: Pawan inflicts more pain on the Tamil Thalaivas, which is down to two men now! Ajeet is the player out! The substitute V Ajith Kumar gets a bonus and a touch point. Mahender Singh makes the long walk back to the bench.

22 - 16:  Pawan evades both Chhilars to increase his team's lead to six. Manjeet went for the tackle first and Mohit tried helping him but unfortunately for the Thalaivas Pawan was at his best there. A point each for both teams as Ajay Thakur walks out without a touch and a Bengaluru defender followed him into the lobby.

19 - 15:  Pawan Sehrawat is back on the mat and he immediately garners a bonus plus one point raid. Ran Singh is the defender out. Rahul Chaudhari gets the better of Amit sheoran next. Pawan finally sends Rahul Chaudhari to the bench.

BENGALURU BULLS 16 - 14 TAMIL THALAIVAS:  SUPER TACKLE!!! Bengaluru defender Mohit Sehrawat takes out Ajay Thakur in a do-or-die raid and gets two points for his side. Rahul Chaudhari has a tackle point now!

The second-half begins!

The first 20 minutes of the match is done and dusted!

BENGALURU BULLS 14 - 13 TAMIL THALAIVAS: Rohit and Pawan march to the bench!! Mohit Chhilar took out Pawan Sehrawat first and then Rohit Kumar fell prey to Sagar. Rahul Chaudhari reduces the deficit even further after jumping past Mahender Singh with a touch.

14 - 10: Manjeet Chhilar and Ran Singh have been below par today. They either go in for an early tackle or don't assist on time during a teammate's tackle. Amit sheoran revives Pawan after a successful tackle on Rahul and immediately the leading raider of the tournament registers a two-point lead.

11 - 9: Rohit Kumar, Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari rack up raid points. Pawan Sehrawat went in for a silly tackle and now he's not there to raid for his side. Rahul now has 950 total points in his Pro Kabaddi League career.

9 - 7: Rahul Chaudhari is out! It was a do-or-die and Mahender Singh nailed a perfect double thigh hold. Ajay Thakur gets a running hand touch right on Mohit Sehrawat and Pawan Sehrawat returns the favour on Mohit Chhilar.

6 - 6: Pawan heads to bench for the first time today. The experienced MAnjeet Chhillar took him out with a dash. Rahul ties the match for his side with a successful raid touch point on Sumit Singh. Really close game so far.

5 - 3: Rahul gets the better of the in-form Saurabh Nandal with a toe touch. The 'high-flyer' Pawan Sehrawat picks up a bonus for the Bulls. Ajay Thakur fails in his first raid attempt of the match after Amit Sheoran executed a perfect double thigh hold on him.

Bengaluru Bulls 2 - 2 Tamil Thalaivas: Bengaluru skipper Rohit Kumar begins the game with  a two-point raid. Mohit Chhilar and Ajay Thakur are out! Rahul Chaudhari gets a bonus for the Thalaivas. Manjeets Chhilar takes out the incoming raider Rohit with a beastly block.

Next up, we have the home team Bengaluru Bulls taking on its southern rivals Tamil Thalaivas in match 70 of PKL 2019.

The first match of the evening is over!

UP YODDHA 32 - 29 BENGAL WARRIORS: WHAT A FINISH! Bengal Warriors had a three-point deficit heading into the penultimate raid of the match. Sukesh Hegde went in and he bagged a bonus point. The final raid of the match was a do-or-die raid for UP Yoddha and Bengal's Rinku Narwal gifted a point to the opposition with a silly early tackle. UP Yoddha beats Bengal Warriors by three points!!

30 - 27: UP Yoddha has garnered 11 raid points and 15 tackle points in this game so far, while Bengal Warriors has racked up 13 raid points and 12 tackle points. Two extra points for each side. And UP has an additional two all-out points.

27 - 26: Former Australian cricketer Dean Jone is in the commentary box for this match. Zero raid points for Rishank Devadiga and Surender Gill so far. Shrikant Jadhav and Nitesh Kumar have literally carried the team to the lead in this game.

25 - 24: Both Maninder Singh and Rishank Devadiga make the long walk back to the bench. HIGH-5 for Baldev Singh!!! Nitesh Kumar takes out K Prapanjan next. Just a one-point lead for UP Yoddha over Bengal Warriors. AND IT'S A TIME-OUT!!

23 - 23: SCORES LEVEL!!! UP Yoddha raider Surender Gill has no raid points today and he now falls prey to Nabibakhsh, who then goes in to raid and successfully 'dubkis' Sachin Kumar. Shrikant comes in next and he gets a bonus. However Baldev Singh blocks him and gets a point for his side.

22 - 20: 17 raid points and 19 tackle points in this match so far! The raiders have struggled today and that's because the defenders have been spot on so far. Star raiders Maninder, Prapanjan and Nabibaksh have all misfired for the Bengal Warriors today.

19 - 17: ALL-OUT!! Maninder Singh was out first after a successful thigh hold from Nitesh Kumar. Then Shrikant Jadhav went in for the surrender raid and he got the better of Baldev Singh as expected. Two-point lead for UP!

UP YODDHA 15 - 16 BENGAL WARRIORS: SUPER TACKLE!!! Surender Gill's misery continues! Baldev Singh took him out this time. Shrikant Jadhav evades Prapanjan first and then jumps past Rinku Narwal to register a two-points raid! Bengal Warriors down to two men against UP Yoddha!

And the second-half begins!

AND IT'S HALF-TIME!!!!

UP YODDHA 12 - 13 BENGAL WARRIORS: FIRST SUPER TACKLE for Bengal! Rinku Narwal gets the two points. Surender fails once again today!  ONE MORE SUPER TACKLE!!! Bengal was down to just two men after Amit took out Nabibakhsh. And Sumit took too long during a do-or-die raid to end up being self-out, thereby gifting two points to the Warriors.

10 - 9: UP gets the lead! The substitute Ankush is the saviour for the Yoddha. They were down to two men! But the young raider gets the better of the deadly defender duo of Jeeva Kumar and Baldev Singh! After that, UP's Sumit and Amit took out Bengal's Maninder and Prapanjan respectively in successive Warriors' raids.

6 - 9:  ANOTHER SUPER TACKLE!! HIGH-5 for Nitesh already!! Mohammad Nabibakhsh is the player out! In the next raid, Jeeva Kumar fends off a running hand touch from Surender Gill and then the experienced Bengal defender wrong foots the UP raider. Nabibakhsh finally sends Nitesh to the bench!

4 - 7: SUPER TACKLE! UP skipper Nitesh Kumar gets the better of his rival captain Maninder Singh through a brilliant tackle! Rishank Devadiga fails in a do-or-die raid attempt as Baldev Singh pushes him out of bounds.

2 - 6: Shrikant Jadhav was almost out there! Jeeva Kumar took him out with an ankle hold but the tall raider escaped it. Prapanjan comes up with a two-point raid! He evaded both Ashu Singh and Amit to go past the mid-line. Shrikant comes back for a do-or-die raid but Rinku Narwal catches him off guard.

UP YODDHA 1 - 3 BENGAL WARRIORS: Maninder Singh gets the first point of the match. He gets the better of Ashu Singh. UP Yoddha's raiders Rishank Devadiga and Surender Gill are both back to the bench. Nitesh Kumar pounces on Bengal Warriors skipper Maninder to open UP's account.
