Puneri Palton to clash with Telugu Titans in Pro Kabaddi opener

The Pro Kabaddi Season 4 will commence on June 25. Two dozen international players from 12 countries — including Iran, Kenya, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, United Kingdom and hosts India — would be seen in action in the league.

This is the fourth season of Pro Kabaddi in the last 24 months and all teams have been preparing at their respective training camps.

The Pro Kabaddi Season 4 is set to commence on June 25 here when Puneri Paltan takes on Telugu Titans in the league opener.

This would be followed by a clash between season 2 champions U Mumba and inaugural season champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers, said a media release here today.

This is the fourth season of Pro Kabaddi in the last 24 months and all teams have been preparing at their respective training camps.

Two dozen international players from 12 countries — including Iran, Kenya, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, United Kingdom and hosts India — would be seen in action in the league, the release added.

International Kabaddi Federation’s president, Janardan Singh Gehlot said, “The sport must not only encourage our players, but also give countless millions who follow it a thrill. The past three seasons have proven that the country is ready to not only watch and accept more of Pro Kabaddi, but also form loyalties toward players and teams.”

“Season 4 will only reinforce that the Kabaddi eco system will grow stronger as the league progresses,” he added.

The League would reach out to over 114 territories including U.S.A., U.K., Sub Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa and New Zealand, the release said.
