MICHAEL CHANG took time at the TD Waterhouse Cup to serve lunch to 250 disadvantaged people at a Long Island soup kitchen. Chang spent more than an hour interacting with some of the patrons at the Mary Brennan INN, one of 44 Long Island soup kitchens run by the Interfaith Nutrition Network, a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organisation. "I try to take advantage of various opportunities like this," said Chang. "As my career winds down, I really hope that I will have more time to be involved and continue to have an impact on the communities where I live."

The several hundred patrons who came for lunch also enjoyed Chang's visit. "This is the second time Michael has come here over the past few years," said Tony Childs, Director of Development for the INN. "His involvement helps to communicate what we do, garner support from the local community, and raise awareness for the need to help the homeless on Long Island. We are truly grateful for his participation."
