Prithiviraj elected FMSCI president

J Prithiviraj of Coimbatore Auto Sports Club was unanimously elected as the president of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) at its Annual General Meeting in Chennai on Tuesday.

Shivu Shivappa of Karnataka Motor Sports Club was elected unopposed as the vice-president.

Also, the governing council members were elected during the AGM. They are: Vicky Chandhok (MMSC), Farokh  Commissariat (IARC), Sita Raina (CMSC), Akbar Ebrahim (Meco  MS), Arindam Ghosh (RRPM), Farooq Ahmed (MSCC), B Vijaykumar (Spitfire MS) and Sanjay Sharma (PCRT).

The 58-year-old Prithiviraj takes over from Akbar Ebrahim who headed the federation for the last two years. The new council including the president and vice-president was increased from eight to 10.
