After more than two weeks of exciting sporting action, the Paris 2024 Olympics came to an end on Sunday with a colourful closing ceremony.

Amidst a sea of excellence, there were a few athletes who stood out by securing a large haul of medals.

Here are all the athletes who won four medals or more in the Paris Olympics:

Unsurprisingly, the list is dominated by swimmers and gymnasts.

Zhang Yufei emerged the most decorated Olympian of the Paris Games after winning six medals and becoming China’s most decorated Olympic swimmer.

Yufei won one silver and five bronze medals as China put in an impressive show in the pool.

French swimmer Leon Marchand won more gold medals than any one in Paris 2024.

Home favourite Marchand stunned the Paris crowds with his performances, winning five medals, gold in all four of his individual events, and a bronze medal in the men’s 4x100m medley relay.

He became the first male swimmer since Michael Phelps to win four gold medals in the same Olympics.
