Shauna Coxsey tops climbing semifinals

Great Britain's champion Shauna Coxsey lived upto her billing of being the favourite in the women's section by topping the semifinals in the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Cup 2017.

Coxsey had seven attempts to achieve four tops, apart from seven attempts to achieve four bonus points.

Great Britain's champion Shauna Coxsey lived upto her billing of being the favourite in the women's section by topping the semifinals in the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup 2017. She had seven attempts to achieve four tops, apart from seven attempts to achieve four bonus points. In the men's section, South Korea's Jongwon Chon made it to the top. Chon had three attempts achieve two tops (2t3), while he had seven attempts to achieve four bonus points (4b7). Only the top six climbers in the semifinals compete in both women’s and men's finals, to be held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre and conducted by Girivihar Mountaineering Club. Chon and Shauna will start last in the field of six in the final. The men's section will start with Aleksei Rubtsov of Russia, whereas Katja Kadic of Slovenia will start first in women’s section.  The IFSC World Cup 2017 is supported by Tata Trust and Bajaj Electricals and organised by Indian Mountaineering Foundation.
