A round-up of all that happened in the world of sport in the past week including all the action from the ICC Cricket World Cup, Liverpool's Champions League victory and all the shock exits from Roland Garros.

CRICKET

The ICC Cricket World Cup has officially begun. England, Australia, New Zealand and West Indies registered wins in their World Cup openers.

Brazilian superstar Neymar has been accused of raping a woman in Paris. The Paris Saint-Germain player has denied the charges .

The Indian men's football team's 23-member squad for the upcoming King's Cup was announced on Saturday evening, with Nishu Kumar and Jobby Justin missing out.

Rafael Nadal made a major statement ahead of his French Open defence, thumping world number one Novak Djokovic 6-0 4-6 6-1 in the Internazionali d'Italia final to claim his ninth title in Rome. (Report)

Spain's defending world champion Marc Marquez of Honda won the French Moto GP at Le Mans on Sunday ahead of Italian pair Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci of Ducati.
