Sunrisers' Martin Guptill looked dangerous as he raced to a 19-ball 36. His innings was cut short when he knicked an Amit Mishra delivery to Keemo Paul at deep mid-wicket. (Sportzpics)
With 16 dot balls in his four overs, Rashid Khan led the bowling attack with a disciplined spell against the Delhi Capitals. His 2-15 at an economy rate of 3.75 couldn't help the Sunrisers edge past Delhi though.
Rishabh Pant emerged the star of the evening as Delhi Capitals snatched a nervous two-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL Eliminator here on Wednesday.
Needing five to win off six, Amit Mishra and Keemo Paul had brought the equation down to two off four balls when the Sunrisers fielders including bowler Khaleel Ahmed appealed in unison for a caught behind of Mishra. The leggie,in the meantime, sprinted towards the other end even as Khaleel collected Saha's throw from behind the stumps and had a shy at the non-striker's end. But Mishra, even as he approached the crease, change his angle a bit towards the ball, ergo getting in the way. A review confirmed this and the leg spinner wad given out. (Sportzpics)
