Angad stands fourth, Sheeraz impresses

Angad Vir Singh Bajwa shot 24 and 25 to be fourth among the leaders in men’s skeet after two rounds in the Shotgun World Cup in Tucson, US.
Oskari Kossi of Finland and Stefan Nilsson of Sweden led with 50, while there were four on 49 including Angad.
Sheeraz Sheikh who had a harrowing time, travelling thousands of kilometres to collect his gun, came up with impressive two rounds of 24 each, to be one among 15 with a total of 48, in a field of 60 shooters.

In women’s skeet, in which the much accomplished Olympic and World Champion Kimberly Rhode won her umpteenth World Cup gold, pipping American team mate Caitlin Connor in the shoot-off 4-3 after the two were tied on 55, Maheshwari Chauhan shot 111 for the 19th spot.
Maheshwari who missed the final by seven points, had a fourth round of a perfect 25, but 20 in the third and fifth rounds cut her aspirations of making the final.
