Ravi Kumar shoots back to back gold in Intershoot
Ravi Kumar won two gold medals at the Intershoot international shooting championship in Netherlands on Friday.

Ravi Kumar shot back to back gold medals in men’s air rifle, with high qualification scores, in the Intershoot international shooting championship in the Hague, Netherlands. Ravi comfortably beat Dean Bale of Britain by 1.6 point, with a heady climax, in the second match on Friday, after having qualified with a score of 631.2. He had won the first match on Thursday, beating compatriot Pratik Borse by 0.4 point, after having shot another high qualification score of 629.5. "I am happy for the consistent scores and the way I fought in both the finals. It is a great confidence boost and experience for me before the Commonwealth Games. This will help me do better in future. Am grateful to both the government and the NRAI for sending me here," said Ravi, when contacted by Sportstar. Deepak Kumar also shot an impressive qualification score of 629.3 in the second match, but had to settle for the bronze eventually. Pratik narrowly missed the final.

Tanish Galhotra won the junior gold in the first match of air rifle, after having qualified with a modest score of 606.4. In the air pistol category, Gaurav Tomar won the bronze, while Dharmendra Singh, Om Prakash Mitharwal who topped the qualification with 582, and Omkar Singh also made the final.
