An uncharacteristically low fifth card of 92.8 put paid to Gagan Narang’s hopes of making the men’s rifle prone final in the shooting World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. Henri Junghaenel of Germany, who had won the World Cup Final gold with a final world record in 2013, clinched the gold, 2.1 points ahead of the reigning World Champion, the 54-year-old Warren Potent of Australia.
