Shooting National selection trials: Rajput establishes class again

Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, who topped the junior event, pipped Olympian Chain Singh to the third place. Qualification topper Parul Kumar (1178) placed fifth and was followed by Monu Kumar, Ajay Thakur and Rahul Poonia in that order.

Sanjeev Rajput won the men’s rifle 3-position event ahead of Swapnil Kusale in the first of the shooting National selection trials on Friday.

Sanjeev Rajput established his class yet again as he won the men’s rifle 3-position event ahead of Swapnil Kusale in the first of the shooting National selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range in Tughlakabad on Friday. Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, who topped the junior event, pipped Olympian Chain Singh to the third place. Qualification topper Parul Kumar (1178) placed fifth and was followed by Monu Kumar, Ajay Thakur and Rahul Poonia in that order.

Adarsh topped the junior event ahead of Anish. Commonwealth Games gold medallist Anish Bhanwala, who topped qualification with a high score of 588, was sixth behind Wazeer Singh Rathee and Bhavesh Shekhawat.
