Shotgun World Cup: Rashmmi Rathore impresses in women's skeet

Rashmmi, the former national champion, is placed 24th in a field of 49 shooters.

Rashmmi Rathore, a former national champion, shot 67 out of 75 following rounds of 21, 22 and 24 in women’s skeet in the shotgun World Cup in progress in Acapulco, Mexico.

Rashmmi was placed 24th in a field of 49 shooters, with the leader Zhang Heng of China shooting 74 out of 75.

Maheshwari Chauhan, a two-time National champion, started well with a round of 24, but slipped to 19 and 22 over the next two rounds for a total of 65. Simranpreet Kaur Johal had a tough time with rounds of 17, 21 and 19.

Two more rounds will be followed by the final.
