39th V.K. Pahuja swimming statistical bulletin released in New Delhi
The 440-page annual swimming bulletin has local, national and international competitions, comparative studies in swimming of the various prominent countries of world in the past 60 years.

Member of Parliament, Meenakshi Lekhi on Sunday released the 39th edition of the V.K. Pahuja annual swimming statistical bulletin at the India International Centre, New Delhi on Sunday.
The 440-page bulletin, considered as the bible by the swimming fraternity, has records of local, national and international competitions, comparative studies in swimming of the various prominent countries of world. It has the Indian participation details in international arena from the past 60 years.
The book has been edited by Meenakshi Pahuja an international swimmer and an Assistant Professor of Physical Education at New Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College.
Along with her brother Priyank Pahuja and sister Dr. Supriya Pahuja, it is a labour of love for the three children in the memory of their father, V.K. Pahuja, who was a national-level swimmer and a water polo player with distinction in various capacities.
The book has an interview with the country’s leading swimmer, Srihari Nataraj, along with his coach, emphasising the relationship. It has a number of articles, written by eminent doctors, lecturers and swimmers on sports, diet, sports injuries, health advice etc.
The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) representative Dr. Rene Van Berkel and the vice-president of Swimming Federation of India, Balraj Sharma, were the special guests, at the launch.
The first copy of the bulletin was presented to the senior official in Indian diving, P.D. Dutta.
Kushagra Rawat, the youngest Indian swimmer to achieve the Tokyo Olympics ‘B’ qualification mark, was presented with a special award at the ceremony.
